This exciting family tour of Konoko Falls & Park includes a stroll through botanical gardens, climbing the Mahoe falls, a historic museum, a mini zoo, an exotic bird aviary, and a Jamaican jerk cuisine experience.
Take a stroll through a unique and beautiful garden of Konoko Falls & Park offering a variety of tropical flora that is fed by streams that rise on the property and meander through the gardens. At the museum take a look at Jamaica’s turbulent past, from the Taino Indians to the present-day era. Rare artifacts, maps, and pictures illustrate scripted summaries of all major periods, as well as local history. Visit the aviaries located along the Orchid Path, that house a variety of exotic birds that are endemic to Jamaica like the Jamaican barn owl and Mountain Witch doves, as well as other introduced species.
Climb up to the first cascading fall and get soaked beneath the curtain of water. Keep climbing until you reach the very top and immerse yourself in the NANA swimming pool. Then take the stairs to the bottom of the falls, stop and have a cold Red Stripe beer at the bar before beginning your climb again. You’ll get the opportunity to visit the gift shop and purchase tour photos before heading to the Taino Jerk Pit, where you’ll learn the art of authentic Jamaican Jerk cuisine.
